Just living 83 years is an accomplishment. But 83 years of marriage? 💖😲👏 Nebraska natives Ralph and Dorothy Kohler marked that wedding anniversary milestone in September, making them the longest married couple in the United States! Ralph and Dorothy got married on September 16th, 1935, when they were only 16 and 17 years old at the time. This year, the couple celebrated their 99th and 100th birthdays this year. The Kohlers were members of U.S. national trapshooting teams together in the early 1950s. Ralph was considered the dean of Nebraska waterfowl hunting guides. During his 70-year career he hosted more than 55,000 hunters from around the world at his waterfowl blinds and in 2006 was inducted into the Legends of the Outdoors Hall of Fame. Ralph and Dorothy have three children and seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Ralph said the secret to their long marriage is having shared interests, patience and romance. Congratulations to this beautiful and inspiring couple!
